There are just a few more days remaining in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.  Gymnastics has given way to basketball at the Bercy Center and water polo has taken over at the aquatic center.  Tae Kwando and the new “sport” of Breaking (break dancing) is set to begin.

A total of 75 countries have now earned medals at the Olympic Games and some of them for the very first time.  The United States continues to lead the way in total medal wins with 86; but they have also taken over the lead in gold medals with 24 – two more than the People’s Republic of China.
