Last week on Broadway, 26 productions brought in some $30 million with “The Lion King” and “Wicked” leading the way with each earning over $2 million at the box office. The Tony Award winning musical “The Outsiders” continues to fill the house and break records is just outside the top five of the Million Dollar club in seventh place.
Moving over from New York City Center Encores, “Once Upon a Mattress” has joined list of Broadway productions. Sutton Foster and Ana Gasteyer, the show earned over $500,000 in just five previews. Will it join the Million Dollar Club??? Time will tell.
