The track and field events have begun at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris which is sure to add to the list of medal winners. Three more countries have joined the list of medal winners for a total of 53. While the United States continues to lead in the overall medal count, the People’s Republic of China continues to lead in the gold medal count with 13. And there are now nine countries with double digit medal wins with Canada joining the list.
