This week, “Oh. Mary” announced that the production would extend its Broadway run into November. After opening on July 11, the show had all eight performances sold out last week and joined the Million Dollar Club!
“The Lion King” and “Wicked” topped the list with receipts of over $2 million with “Hamilton”, “Hell’s Kitchen”, and “Cabaret” filling out the top five.
The Tony Award winning show “The Outsiders” continues to break records; breaking the house record for the fifth week in a row.
The Who’s “Tommy” closed on July 21; but before it did, audiences flocked to the musical putting it in the Million Dollar Club. “Home” also closed last week, leaving 27 productions currently running.
School is out and families are travelling; the family friendly shows on Broadway continue to top the list of the most attended shows.
