As shows close over the summer, the number of productions on Broadway begin to dwindle down until the big premieres for the new season.  There were just 26 productions on Broadway last week with only 12 of them joining the Million Dollar Club.  While the overall numbers were down seven percent; “The Lion King” and “Wicked” still brought in over $2 million each.

It topped the list of nominees at the Tony Awards and this past week, “Hell’s Kitchen” made its debut appearance in the top five of the Million Dollar Club.

“Hamilton” and “Cabaret” rounded out the top five.

There was a total of 20 productions in the 90 percent club last week with the top six bringing in at least 100 percent capacity.  “The Outsiders” topped 102 percent in audience capacity.
