Chase Elliott takes over the point standings by a mere three points with Kyle Larson holding on to the lead in the playoff standings.
There are just five more races remaining in the regular season with just one more race before the Olympics break when the Cup Series returns to the Brickyard and the oval track of Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
