How do you express your gratitude?

As a child, I was taught to say please and thank you. And the lesson has stuck even today. I always thank someone no matter what they have done – the bus driver, the clerk at the store, the person who helped me out, or the person who makes a delivery. It’s just good manners – something that seems to be lacking today.

If someone does something especially nice and helpful for me, then I will add them to my gift list. My hand made soap has become a very popular and expected item. 🙂

And of course, for special situations there is the crocheted afghan. And baby blankets for friends who are having babies.

I make and give gifts because it is something that I want to do; not because it is something I have to do.

Then there is the world that surrounds us. I relish any chance to go to the park, get out on the water, and enjoy a sunset. I don’t just see the world as a thing, but something to treasure. I take a great many photos as a way to appreciate what I see around me…because it is never really the same from one moment to the next.

Cherish the world the way it is, because it will not last!
