On April 24, the NASCAR Hall of Fame revealed the names of the nominees for possible induction into the Hall of Fame.

Nominees are listed in three different categories – Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR, Pioneer, and Modern Era.  A total of 20 NASCAR greats have been announced for the 2025 class of inductees.

Fans may also cast their votes for who they wish to be in the Hall of Fame; but collectively the fan votes will count as one vote.

Modern Era nominees:
Craftsman Truck and Xfinity Series champion Greg Biffle
Driver and broadcaster Neil Bonnett
Champion crew chief Tim Brewer
Driver and broadcaster Jeff Burton
Champion engine builder Randy Dorton
Xfinity Series champion driver Mr. Backflip Carl Edwards
He loved riding the high line; Cup Series driver Harry Gant
champion crew chief Harry Hyde
With 906 race starts to his name; Ricky Rudd
Three time Craftsman Truck Series champion driver Jack Sprauge

Pioneer Ballot:
“Mr. Modified” Ray Hendrick earned more than 700 races
Driver, car owner, and crew chief Edwin Keith “Banjo” Matthews
“Mechanical Whiz” and champion car owner Ralph Moody
NASCAR’s only five time weekly series national champion also holds 13 track titles in three states: Larry Phillips
“King of Covertables”, three time champion Bob Welborn.  He was also the first ever winner of a points paying race in Daytona International Speedway in 1959.

Landmark Award:
NASCAR’s first flagman Alvin Hawkins.  He was also among those who met at the Streamline Hotel in 1947 – the meeting that launched NASCAR.
Lesa France Kennedy is the Executive Vice Chair of NASCAR and has been influential in cementing NASCAR’s presence and revitalization of tracks.
