It’s a double header weekend at Talladega Superspeedway for the Xfinity and Cup Series drivers.

With no practice, the drivers take to the track for qualifying.  Thirty-nine teams brought cars to Talladega to fill 38 starting spots.

The first driver on the track to qualify is David Starr who posted a time of 53.489 seconds.  With a track of 2.66 miles, it will take the drivers nearly one minute to get around the track.

The drivers will run two rounds of qualifying to set the pole and the lineup for the Ag Pro 300.

This is also a Dash-4-Cash weekend with Sam Mayer, AJ Allmendinger, Ryan Sieg, and Justin Allgaier will be racing to win the $100,000 prize.

Parker Kligerman is the first driver to break the 53 second mark with 52.996 seconds.

Jesse Love, Parker Kligerman, Josh Williams, Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, Riley Herbst, Ryan Truex, Sammy Smith, Cole Custer, and Chandler Smith will move on to round two of qualifying.

First on the track is Chandler Smith with a time of 53.241 seconds.

With a time of 5 2.723 seconds Austin Hill put his number 21 car on the pole,

Stages one and two are just 25 laps each with stage three lasting 63 laps for a total of 113 laps around the 2.66 mile tri-oval.  The drivers can run 40 to 45 laps on a single load of fuel.

Ryan Blaney and Daniel Suarez joins Adam Alexander in the FOX Sports broadcast booth for today’s race.

Sheldon Creed, Jeb Burton, and Taylor Gray will have to start the race from the back of the field.

Austin Hill brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane and takes the lead with Jesse Love in second.

The drivers quickly spread out three and four wide across the track.

Lap two, Austin Hill leads the pack on the outside with Sammy Smith leading the inside; Parker Kligerman, Chandler Smith, and Riley Herbst round out the top five.

Lap four, Austin Hill leads the race with Jesse Love in second; Parker Kligerman, Ryan Truex, ad AJ Allmendinger round out the top five.

Never having even seen Talladega in person, New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen has already moved into the top 10 in seventh place on lap six.

Austin Hill and Jesse Love started the race on the front row for the third time this season.

Lap eleven, Austin Hill continues to lead the race with Jesse Love in second; Parker Kligerman, Chandler Smith, and Cole Custer round out the top five.

Chandler Smith moves into second place and goes side by side with Austin Hill.

Sheldon Creed is currently on baby watch; his wife is due at any time with their second child.

Lap 13, Austin Hill continues to lead the race with Jesse Love on his bumper; Chandler Smith, Parker Kligerman and Ryan Truex round out the top five.

Riley Herbst is reporting some handling issues; saying that the car is moving all over the place.

Lap 15, Austin Hill has led every lap so far; Jess Love, Chandler Smith, Parker Kligerman, and Ryan Truex round out the top five.

Lap 20, the drivers have gotten single file through much of the field with Austin Hill in the lead.

Just four laps remain in stage one with all 38 drivers on the track and on the lead lap.

After starting the race from the back of the field, Sheldon Creed has moved up inside the top 20.

With two laps remaining in stage two, the drivers are getting aggressive and pulling out of line to battle for position.

The drivers are three wide on the track.

Jesse Love takes the lead on lap 25.

Justin Allgaier gets out of line and hits the wall hard.  Stage one ends under caution with Jesse Love winning the stage.  Allgaier’s car got airborne and spun around when it hit the wall.

Drivers come down pit road for service.  Josh Bilicki misses his pit stall.  Jesse Love wins the race off of pit road.  Parker Kligerman also slides through his pit stall and has to be pushed back before work can begin.

Kyle Sieg and Matt DiBenedetto were caught speeding on pit road.  Kyle Weatherman was charged with an equipment violation.  All three drivers will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Justin Allgaier has been checked and released from the infield care center.  He is the first driver out of the race.

Jesse Love brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two with Austin Hill alongside on lap 31.  After going side by side with Jesse Love, Austin Hill retakes the lead.  The drivers are three wide across the field.

Lap 32, Austin Hill has a narrow lead on Jesse Love; Chandler Smith, Taylor Gray, and Cole Custer round out the top five.

Lap 34, Cole Custer goes three wide and takes the lead on the inside lane.

Cole Custer leads the race; a Ford has not won a race yet this season and it has been over a dozen years since Ford has won a race at Talladega.

Lap 37, Cole Custer leads the race with Ryan Sieg in second; Ryan Truex, Riley Herbst, and Anthony Alfredo round out the top five.

The drivers are racing like they have only two or three laps remaining in the race; but it is just halfway through the second stage with Ryan Sieg leading the way.

Lap 42, Ryan Sieg has a very narrow lead on Chandler Smith; Jesse Love, Austin Hill, and Riley Herbst round out the top five.  Chandler Smith passes Ryan Sieg for the lead.

Austin Hill passes Jesse Love for second with Chandler Smith in the lead.

Lap 47, Austin Hill drops down to the double yellow no-go line to make his move for the lead with Jesse Love in second; Chandler Smith, Riley Herbst, and Ryan Sieg round out the top five.

On lap 49, AJ Allmendinger moves up on the inside lane to enter the top five.

Jeffrey Earnhardt makes a pit stop with a car issue.

With a push from Jesse Love, Austin Hill takes the lead in a battle with AJ Allmendinger and wins stage two.

During the pit stop Patrick Emerling was charged with having an uncontrolled tire.  Sammy Smith was caught speeding. And Josh Williams was charged with an equipment interference penalty.  All three drivers will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Chandler Smith is having a radio issue; other sounds are bleeding through.

Jesse Love brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three with Brandon Jones alongside.  Jesse Love takes the lead; Chandler Smith, Sheldon Creed, Brandon Jones, and Ryan Truex round out the top five.

Jesse Love leads the race from the outside lane up by the wall with the drivers getting double file.

Lap 57, Brandon Jones comes up on the inside to take the lead with Parker Kligerman in tow.

Lap 59, Brandon Jones leads the race with Parker Kligerman on his bumper; Austin Hill, Jesse Love, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

Jeffrey Earnhardt and Justin Allgaier are the only drivers out of the race; the remaining 36 drivers are on the lead lap.

Lap 61, Ryan Sieg retakes the lead with Brandon Jones in second; Sammy Smith, Parker Kligerman, and Shan van Gisbergen round out the top five.

Lap 63, Sammy Smith leads the race but Shane van Gisbergen gets a push from Jordan Anderson to take the lead; Ryan Sieg and Austin Hill round out the top five.

Lap 67, Brandon Jones spins out after contact from Parker Kligerman and starts “The Big One” involving Sam Mayer, Josh Williams, AJ Allmendinger, Ryan Truex, Jeb Burton, Matt DiBenedetto, Ryan Sieg, Leland Honeyman, Jeremy Clements, and Kyle Weatherman.

Some drivers stay out on the track; while others come down pit road.  Austin Hill takes fuel only and wins the race off of pit road.

The drivers who stayed out on the track come down pit road for service.  Austin Hill retakes the lead.

Taylor Gray was charged with removing equipment from is pit stall and Parker Retzlaff was charged with the crew coming over the wall too soon.

Brandonn Jones and Jeremy Clements have been checked and released from the infield care center.

Austin Hill brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 73 with Ryan Sieg on the inside.  Ryan Sieg gets a push from Riley Herbst and gets out in front for the lead.

The top five are Ryan Sieg, Cole Custer, Ryan Herbst, Jesse Love, and Jordon Anderson.

Riley Herbst passes for the lead with 40 laps remaining in the race.

The caution flag comes out for debris on the track when a roof flap blows off of a car.

Sam Mayer is out of the infield care center.

Some of the drivers come down pit road to top off the fuel tank.

Lap 78, Riley Herbst brings the field down for the green flag restart of the race with Ryan Sieg on the inside lane.  Herbst reports some possible steering wheel issues.  Jesse Love gives Herbst a push in the inside lane with Herbst taking the lead.

The top five are Riley Herbst, Ryan Sieg, Cole Custer, Shane van Gisbergen, and Austin Hill.

Austin Hill leads the middle lane and battles Riley Herbst for the lead.  Riley Herbst gets some help from fellow Ford drivers to pull out for the lead.

With 31 laps remaining in the race, Austin Hill comes up on the inside to take the lead but Riley Herbst battles back on the outside lane.

Thirty to go, Austin Hill and Riley Herbst continue to battle back and forth for the lead.

Austin Hill has been shuffled back in the pack with Riley Herbst in the lead and Ryan Sieg second.

Parker Kligerman takes second and battles with Riley Herbst for the lead.

With 27 to go, Parker Kligerman takes the lead with Austin Hill on his bumper.

Just 25 laps to go, Parker Kligerman has the lead but Riley Herbst with a host of Fods on his bumper, takes the lead.

Ryan Sieg has a flat tire and has to come down pit road.

Anthony Alfredo takes the lead with 23 laps remaining in the race; Parker Kligerman, Chandler Smith, Austin Hill, and Sheldon Creed round out the top five as drivers begin to spread out across the screen.

Of the top 10 drivers, only three of them have race wins to their credit.

Parker Kligerman gets a push from Austin Hill to pass Anthony Alfredo for the lead.

Drivers are beginning to make their aggressive moves for position; sending traffic into a freny.

Fifteen to go, Cole Custer takes the lead with Riley Herbst in second.

In a three wide battle, Taylor Gray takes the lead briefly before Riley Herbst gets out in front.

Just 14 laps to go, Jesse Love passes to take the lead with Parker Kligerman in second.

Ten to go, the drivers are single file with Jesse Love in the lead.

Just eight laps remain, Daniel Suarez says that at this point the spotters become businessmen looking to make a deal.

Six to go, drivers at the back of the field are beginning to make their moves to come through the field.

Just four laps remain inn the race with Jesse Love in the lead but Austin Hill on the bottom comes up to battle for the lead.  Love holds him off.

Two laps to go, Austin Hill comes up from the inside to take the lead.

Austin Hill spins out after barely missing making contact with Parker Kligerman to cause another big wreck and the caution flag to put the race into overtime.  Anthonny Alfredo, Patrick Emerling, Taylor Gray, Jeb Burton, Jordan Anderson, David Starr, and Riley Herbst were also involved.

Chandler Smith, Parker Retzlaff, Dawson Cram, and Blain Perkins run out of fuel.

Parker Kligerman brings the filed down for the overtime shootout for the end of the race with Josh Williams on the outside.  Shane van Gisbergen runs out of fuel.  The caution flag comes out when Sheldon Creed and Jesse Love make contact; Parker Kligerman and Josh Williams were also involved.

Sammy Smith is slowed on the track; apparently out of fuel.

Kyle Weatherman is out of fuel.

Jesse Love brings the field down for the second overtime shootout at Talladega with Leland Honeyman on the inside.  Riley Herbst is the only driver in the top 10 to have won a race.  Ryann Ellis is out of fuel, Jesse Love gets the lead.

After winning 10 ARCA races last season, including the one at Talladega, Jesse Love holds off the field long enough to take the white flag.

Drivers are four wide in a battle for the lead with Jess love in the lead as cars crash behind him.  The rookie driver earns his first career Xfinity race.  The 19 years old is the seventh driver to earn their first win at Talladega.

Ryan Sieg is the Dash-4-Cash winner.

Ryan Sieg, Jesse Love, Anthony Alfredo, and Riley Herbst will compete in the final Dash-4-Cash race next week at Dover.
