Guitar icon Slash is known for his screaming rock guitar performances; but he also loves the Blues and has created the S.E.P.E.R.N.T. Festival; which will embark on a tour this summer.
S.E.R.P.E.N.T. stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance.
Slash himself has a new album – “Orgy of the Damned” – due out May 17.
Slash himself will be a part of the lineup and the tour. Slash and his band will be a part of every show with the Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, Samantha Fis, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Jackie Venson, and Larkin Poe appearing on various dates.
Slash is also looking to lend a helping hand by donating a portion of the proceeds from each ticket and VIP package sold to The Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute, and War Child.
Tickets for the general public go on sale March 15 at 10am local time. A limited number of S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival VIP packages are available. Go to serpentfestival.com for tickets and more information.
