Currently there are 25 productions running on Broadway with two of them closing in the coming weeks.  Winter is always rough for Broadway since fewer tourists visit the area.

The revival of the Monty Python spoof “Spamalot”, based on the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, is set for an April 7 closing date.  After just 17 preview performances inNovember; the musical will have a total of 164 regular performances when it closes.  The musical is set for a national tour in the fall of 2025.

The original musical won the Tony for Best Musical back in 2005.

Already set for a limited engagement, “Days of Wine and Roses” will cut the engagement a little short by a month to close on March 31. 

The musical opened for previews on January 6 with regular performances beginning on January 28.  When the musical closes will it fall just short of 100 performances with 25 previews and 73 regular performances.

The musical was adapted from the 1962 film and 1958 teleplay by the same name.
