Well, at the top of the list of things I cannot do without, my glasses has to top the list. Can’t do much of anything without them. Unless I am in the shower or sleeping, my glasses are on my face.
Before Covid hit and really mucked up everything; ask anyone what they couldn’t leave home without and the answer was always wallet, keys, and phone! Covid hit and suddenly the list grew to included sanitizer and face covering.
For me that list also included my Kindle. I can’t leave home without my Kindle in my pocket with my wallet and phone. It seems no matter where I go or what I am doing, I end up waiting for something or someone. So, out comes the Kindle to fill the time while waiting. I have a virtual library in that one little device. There are hundreds of books on my Kindle; plenty of reading to kill the time.
Even more important to me than having a place to write is the music. There is always music plying in my house. Music seems to surround my life. But in this day and age, if you have a “smart” phone; you have a phone…you have a phone, music box, journal, pen and paper, a library with the Kindle app, and an encyclopedia all at your fingertips.
Of course, there are other things that are not only important but also essential for everyone…like covering our nakedness when out in public!
