On February 24 the Screen Actors Guild gathered in Hollywood for their annual awards ceremonies. It was the first big gathering since the strike last summer.
Foregoing the normal network television broadcast, The Guild chose to present the 30th annual awards ceremonies on Netflix.
The winners of the night reflected previous ceremonies of the Golden Globes, BAFTA, and other Guild Awards with “Oppenheimer” winning the night. The SAG Awards honour both film and television productions.
Winners of the annual SAG Awards are determined by their fellow actors.
Award winning singer, actor, writer, producer, and director Barbra Streisand was presented with the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award for her long career achievements and humanitarian work. Fellow actors Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Copper presented the award to Streisand.
Presented prior to the Prime Time Award presentations, the award for Best Stunt Ensemble for a Film went to the stunt crew of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One”. The award for Best Stunt Ensemble in Television went to the stunt crew of “The Last of Us”.
