With numerous delays and much fan fare, the first race of the 2024 season is in the books…and the Daytona 500 brought one more first time 500 winner with the number 24 car driven by William Byron crossing the finish line under the yellow flag after a big crash occurred just after the waving of the white flag.

In the first standing report of the season, William Byron leads the way with a total of 54 points.  This year some of the drivers got a bit of a boost when points were awarded to the top 10 drivers in each of the Bluegreen Vacations Duel races.
