With recent closings on Broadway, the list of productions is down to 23; but last week saw an unprecedented increase of over 27 percent at the box office.

Last week over half of the productions, including “The Notebook” in its first full week on Broadway, were members of the Million Dollar Club and nearly all of them had an audience capacity of at least 90 percent with over 200,000 people attending shows on Broadway last week.  “Wicked”, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, “Aladdin”, “The Lion King”, and “Back to the Future” all saw some big increases at the box office this week.

“Sweeney Todd” fell out of the top five down to eighth…and STILL brought in over $1 million! 

“The Lion King” returned to the top of the list, breaking the $2 million mark; “Hamilton”, “Wicked”, “Merrily We Roll Along”, and “MJ he Musical” round out the top five for last week.
