After the recent closing of a few shows on Broadway, only 24 remain. In its final week of performances, “How to Dance in Ohio” brought in nearly $800,000 at the box office.
“The Notebook” opened for previews last week with only three performances but filled the theatre with 98 percent capacity.
Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford departed the musical “Sweeney Todd” on January 14. On February 9 Sutton Foster and Aaron Tveit took over the roles. The musical is back among the top five box office draws over the past week; joining “Hamilton”, “The Lion King”, “Merrily We Roll Along”, and “Wicked”..
While only seven of the productions currently running were members of the Million Dollar Club; half of them were members of the 90 percent club and brought in a total of $21 million.
