Last year Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors were the opening band for Darius Rucker’s tour and made their debut appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. This year they have a new EP and will spend a good bit of the first half of the year on the road.
“Strangers No More: The Worktapes” is an EP featuring acoustic versions of songs from their album “Strangers No More”. The songs were recorded using an old 80’s tape machine.
The EP is available for streaming on all digital streaming platforms.
Drew Holcomb spoke on the new album saying, “the journey from writing a song to making a record is always magic to me. I wanted to let you guys hear what these songs off ‘Strangers No More’ felt like when they came right out of the oven. I always write just me and a guitar, or a friend and a couple guitars. Here are the songs off ‘Strangers No More’ just like they were the day they were written. As you can see, they often evolved into something quite different than they were originally conceived.”
He added, “I hope you enjoy this ‘Worktapes’ project. It’s a peek behind the curtain that I am thrilled to share with you all.”
Along with tour dates with his band; Holcomb will be touring with his wife Ellie for some tour dates.
