The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Rage Against the Machine cancelled several dates last year after frontman Zack de la Rocha had an accident on stage in Chicago and ruptured his Achilles tendon.
Since then fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of new concert dates
to replace the cancelled dates; however, that is not the news that came out of
the RATM camp. Instead, drummer Brad Wilk has announced that the band is breaking up…again.
And from the sound of Wilk’s Instagram message, it will be a permanent
situation. In his message Wilk said, “I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new dates for all the cancelled RATM shows. I don’t want to string people or myself along any further. So while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future…I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again. I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”
He concluded with, “bottom of my heart.. Thank you to every person who has
ever supported us.”
