On April 10, NASCAR suspended Rick Ware Racing driver Cody Ware after he was arrested for assault. The charges have since been dropped and on December 12, NASCAR has re-instated Ware.
After Ware’s suspension, RWR used a number of different drivers during the 2023 Cup Series season to fill in for the suspended Cody in the number 51 car.
Cody is the son of team owner Rick Ware.
At the moment there is not word on whether Cody Ware will return to Rick Ware Racing for the 2024 season.
