The annual Snowball Derby is a Late Models Series short track race that has, over the past few years, drawn quite a bit of attention from other drivers; most notably NASCAR drivers..

The annual race is run at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida each December. So far nearly 50 teams have signed up to run in this year’s race including past champions and some dozen NASCAR drivers. Entrants represent all three countries in North America – the U.S., Canada, and Mexico – for the 56th annual event.

The festivities begin on November 30 with a practice session with the racing beginning December 1.

December 2 is the busiets day with qualifying races, last chance qualifiers, the Snowflake 100, and the Outlaw 50 lap race.

It all comes to a climax on December 3 with the Snowball Derby itself.
