It’s the final race in round one of the playoffs for the Craftsmans Truck Series.  By the end of the night, two drivers will be eliminated from the list of playoff drivers.

The Truck Series kicks of full weekend of racing with the Kansas Lottery 200.

After the 36 drivers made their qualifying runs, Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Chase Purdy put his number four truck on the pole for the first time in his career with rookie Nick Sanchez alongside on the front row.

After issues during practice and qualifying Chase Janes, Spencer Davis, Timmy Hill, Lawless Alan, Matt Crafton, and Colby Howard will have to start the race from the back of the field.

Stages one and two of the race are 30 laps each with stage three lasting 74 laps for a total of 134 laps around the mile and a half track.  The drivers can run 50 to 55 laps on a single load of fuel and will have to make a pit stop during stage three.

Chase Purdy brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane.  Drivers immediately spread out four and five wide going into turn one with Nick Sanchez getting out in front for the lead.

Lap two, Nick Sanchez leads the race with Ben Rhodes in second; Chase Purdy Christian Eckes, and Ty Majeski round out the top five. 

Grant Enfinger, Ty Majeski, Christian Eckes, and Corey Heim have already secured spots in the next round of the playoffs.

Spencer Davis is off the track.

Lap four, Nick Sanchez has a lead of over half a second on Ben Rhodes.  Matt Crafton has already moved up to 24th place since starting at the back of the field.  Prior to the race, Crafton told the FOX Sports crew that he was going to “going where they aren’t” all race long.

Lap seven, Nick Sanchez’s lead on Ben Rhodes is down to just a third of a second; Jake Garcia, Chase Purdy, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Lap nine, Nick Sanchez has increased his lead to nearly a second on Ben Rhodes; Jake Garcia, Chase Purdy, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Lap 14, Bayley Currey spins out and brings out the first caution flag of the race.  He has a trail of sparks behind him as he works his way to pit road.

A handful of drivers came down pit road for service including Grant Enfinger who reported having a vibration.

Nick Sanchez brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 21  with Ben Rhodes on the outside.  Getting a push from Chase Purdy, Sanchez gets out in front for the lead.

Lap 22, the top five are Nick Sanchez, Ben Rhodes, Chase Purdy, Christian Eckes, and Zane Smith.  Matt Crafton has entered the top 20 in 18th place.

Jake Garcia bumps the wall but the track stays green.

Lap 24, seven of the top 10 drivers are playoff drivers.

There are 31 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 25, Nick Sanchez has a lead of over half a second on Chase Purdy; Ben Rhodes, Corey Hiem, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.  Matt Crafton is now in the top 15.  Crafton has been in every race at Kansas.

The caution flag comes out on lap 27 when Kaden Honeycutt spins out with flat tires.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Nick Sanchez winning the race off of pit road.  Grant Enfinger stayed out on the track after making a pit stop during the first caution flag.  The teams only had three sets of tires in their pits for the race.

Carson Hocevar has locked himself into the second round of the playoffs after finishing stage one in the top 10.

Grant Enfinger brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 36 and holds on to the lead with Grant Enfinger in second.

Ben Rhodes and Grant Enfinger battle for second.

Drivers are four wide in a battle for position.

Lap 37, Nick Sanchez and Ben Rhodes battle for the lead.

Lap 38, the top five are Nick Sanchez, Ben Rhodes, Christian Eckes, Grant Enfinger, and Carson Hocevar.

Chase Purdy makes an unscheduled stop on pit road with a possible loose wheel.

Lap 40, Nick Sanchez leads the race with Carson Hocevar in second; Ben Rhodes, Christian Eckes, and Zane Smith round out the top five.

Lap 41, Matt Crafton is in the top 10 in ninth place.

Nick Sanchez has led 36 of 42 laps so far.

Lap 43, nine of the top 10 drivers are playoff drivers.  Ty Majeski is the only playoff driver not in the top 10 after a slow pit stop.

Ben Rhodes gets slideways but the track stays green.

Lap 46, Carson Hocevar has caught up to leader Nick Sanchez and is looking to battle for the lead.

Lap 47, the top five are Nick Sanchez, Carson Hocevar, Zane Smith, Corey Hiem, and Ben Rhodes.

Lap 49, Carson catches and passes Nick Sanchez for the lead; Zane Smith, Corey Heim, and Ben Rhodes round out the top five.

Lap 54, Ben Rhodes slaps the wall but the track stays green.

Lap 55, Grant Enfinger passes Christian Eckes for sixth but Eckes retakes the spot.

Lap 57, Grant Enfinger battles Ben Rhodes for fifth.

Lap 58, Christian Eckes has joined the battle for fifth with Ben Rhodes, and Grant Enfinger.

Carson Hocevar wins stage two for his third stage win.

Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 69 with Nick Sanchez alongside.  Carson Hocevar comes up to make it three wide battle for the lead with Zane Smith looking to make it a four wide battle.  Corey Heim gets out in front with Zane Smith in second; Christian Eckes, Carson Hocevar, and Nick Sanchez round out the top five.

Matt Crafton scraps the wall and damages the right rear quarter panel, but the track stays green.

Lap 72, Corey Heim has just a quarter second lead on Carson Hocevar; Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Ben Rhodes has some damage to the right rear of his truck too and is having trouble keeping the truck straight.

Matt Crafton makes his way to pit road.

Lap 75, Corey Heim and Carson Hocevar battle for the lead.

Lap 77, Carson Hocevar passes Corey Heim for the lead; Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, and Nick Sanchez round out the top five.

Ben Rhodes is reporting a vibration in the truck.  Despite massive changes to the truck, he is still loose.

Corey Heim had some debris on his truck but moved up to the rear of Carson Hocevar’s truck to get it off.  Corey Heim scrapes the wall but the track stays green.

With 47 laps remaining in the race, Carson Hocevar has a half second lead on Corey Heim; Christian Eckes, Zane Smith, and Nick Sanchez round out the top five.

Ben Rhodes goes a lap down.

Matt Crafton made an unscheduled trip down pit road and is six laps down.

With 43 laps to go, Ben Rhodes comes down pit road for service while Carson Hocevar and Corey Heim battle for the lead.

With 41 laps remaining in the race, there are 24 trucks on the lead lap.

Corey Heim brings his truck down pit road with 40 laps to go to begin the green flag round of pit stops.

Carson Hocevar brings his truck down pit road and gives the lead to Zane Smith with 39 laps to go.

There is a fire in Ty Majeski’s truck but it gets moving again and the fire goes out.

Zane Smith makes his pit  sotp and gives the lead to Matt DiBenedetto.

Grant Enfinger is caught speeding on pit road and will have to serve a pass through penalty.

Still needing to make a pit stop, Tanner Gray leads the race with Jack Wood in second; Jesse Love, Dean Thompson, and Bret Holmes round out the top five.

With 31 laps to go, Tanner Gray makes his pit stop and gives the lead over to Jack Wood.

Thirty to go, Jack Wood makes his green flag pit stop and gives the lead over to Bret Holmes.  Once Holmes comes down it road, pit road stops have cycled through and Corey Heim is the leader.

With just 27 laps to go, Corey Heim leads the race with Carson Hocevar in second; Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, and Nick Sanchez round out the top five.

With 24 laps to go, there are just 14 trucks on the lead lap with Corey Heim nearly two seconds out in front of Carson Hocevar; Zane Smith, Nick Sanchez, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Twenty to go, Corey Heim has a second and a half lead on Carson Hoevar; Zane Smith, Nick Sanchez, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 118 when Mason Maggio gets into the wall hard and has a trail of sparks trailing his truck.

There are only 12 trucks on the lead lap.

Some of the drivers come down pit road for service but the leaders stay out on the track.

Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag restart with just eight laps remaining in the race.  Corey Heim gets a push from behind and takes the lead.  Carson Hocevar and Zane Smith battle with Corey Heim for the lead.

Rajah Caruth makes a run through the grass and brings out the caution flag.  Tanner Gray gets into the wall.  There are seven laps remaining in the race.

Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag restart with just two laps remaining in the race with Zane Smith alongside.  Heim edges out for the lead after a push from Carson Hocevar.  Zane Smith, Corey Heim, and Christian Eckes are in a three wide battle for the lead as they while flag waves.

Zane Smith scrapes the wall.

Christian Eckes edges out for the lead to win the race!  This is his third win of the season.

Matt DiBenedetto came in third place but fell five points short of making the cut line.  Matt Crafton also has been eliminated from the playoffs.  Ben Rhodes survived elimination with five points above the cut line.
