It’s the final race of the regular season for the Xfinity Series. After today’s race at Kansas Speedway and the Kansas Lottery 300, the 12 drivers in the playoffs will be named; as well as, a regular season champion. Going into the race, Austin Hill has a 23 point lead on John Hunter Nemechek for the regular season championship.
John Hunter Nemechek, Austin Hill, Justin Allgaier, Cole Custer, and Sam Mayer have all clenched spots in the playoffs due to race wins. Chandler Smith, Sammy Smith, Jeb Burton, Sheldon Creed, and Josh Berry have also secured spots in the playoffs.
With a time of 30.696 seconds, Justin Allgaier puts his number seven JR Motorsports car on the front pole. Sammy Smith will start alongside on the front row.
Thirty-nine teams brought cars to the track for 38 starting spots. After qualifying, Timmy Hill failed to make the race.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track. Drivers can run 55 to 60 laps on a single load of fuel and have four sets of tires in the pits for the race.
Riley Herbst, Daniel Hemric, and Parker Kligerman are separated by only one point to make it into the playoffs. But if a non-playoff driver can win the race, it will shakeup the current standings with a driver finding themselves on the outside looking in.
Once the race begins, Daniel Hemric rill qualify for the playoffs.
Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane and goes side by side with Sammy Smith. Anthony Alfredo and Nick Leitz bring out the caution flag on the first lap for a crash. Leitz hits the wall.
This weekend the drivers are carrying the names of “heroes” who are battling or survived cancer.
Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap six from the outside lane and edges out Sammy Smith for the lead after a push from Cole Custer. Drivers quickly get four and five wide across the track.
The top five are Justin Allgaier, Cole Custer, Sammy Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, and Josh Berry.
Lap eight, Riley Herbst and Parker Kligerman are separated by just one point; they are in a battle for position for the same spot on the track.
Cole Custer is just a third of a second behind leader Justin Allgaier and looking to take the lead.
Lap eleven, Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Cole Custer; John Hunter Nemechek, Sammy Smith, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.
After the lap one crash, Nick Leitz is five laps down but Anthony Alfredo is still on pit road.
The caution flag comes out on lap 13 for debris on the track.
There is a brake pad stuck under the left front splitter of his car. He tried to knock it off by running down on the apron but it didn’t come off.
Chandler Smith comes down pit road and heads for the garage with a reported blown engine. The crew is replacing everything they can on the car to see if they can get the car going again. If a driver is in the garage with a mechanical issue, they are not on the “crash clock” and can take as much time as they need.
Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 19 and goes side by side with Cole Custer with Custer getting out in front but Allgaier comes back on the outside to retake the lead.
Lap 20, Sam Mayer spins out after some on track contact and brings out the third caution flag of the race. Kyle Weatherman hits the wall trying to avoid the spin and hits the wall.
The rear bumper cover is broken on Sheldon Creed’s car after contact with Sam Mayer.
Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart once again with Cole Custer on the inside on lap 26 and battles with Custer for the lead.
Lap 27, Justin Allgaier has a third of a second lead on John Hunter Nemechek; Cole Custer, Sammy Smith, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.
Riley Herbst and Rajah Caruth make contact but the track stays green.
Sam Mayer and Kyle Weatherman are out of the race with 34 cars on the lead lap.
Lap 31, Justin Allgaier now has a half second lead on John Hunter Nemechek; Cole Custer, Sammy Smith, and Brandon Jones ound out the top five.
Chandler Smith is back on the track 13 laps down. But teammate Daniel Hemric may be having some engine issues.
Lap 38, Daniel Hemric brings his car down pit road but overshoots his pit stall and has to be pushed back before the crew can work on the car.
Lap 40, the top five are Justin Allgaier, John Hunter Nemechek, Cole Custer, Brandon Jones, and Sammy Smith.
With five laps remaining in stage one, John Hunter Nemechek and Justin Allgaier battle for the lead with Nemechek taking the spot.
Cole Custer comes up on the outside to battle Justin Allgaier for second. Allgaier drops to third place. He reports some handling issues in the car.
Both in the top 10, Parker Kligerman and Riley Herbst are separated by just two spots with Kligerman five points above the cut line and Herbst five points under.

Drivers come down pit road for service with several of the drivers getting adjustments to their cars. Cole Custer wins the race off of pit road with John Hunter Nemechek coming out second.
Cole Custer brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two with John Hunter Nemechek on the inside on lap 52. Nemechek edges out for the lead; Cole Custer, Justin Allgaier, Brandon Jones, and Sammy Smith round out the top five.
Daniel Hemric is off the track.
Lap 54, Justin Allgaier battles with Cole Custer for second place and gets the spot on new tires.
Sammy Smith battles with Cole Custer for third.
Earlier this week it was announced that leader John Hunter Nemechek is moving back up to the Cup Series driving the number 42 car for Legacy Motor Club.
There are 31 cars on the lead lap.
Riley Herbst is reporting a very loose condition in his car; saying it feels like he has no air.
Cole Custer scrapes the wall. NASCAR had just called debris on the track and the caution when Custer hit the wall with the right rear smoking. It appears that he ran over the debris – a tire carcass.
The tire debris came from Jeremy Clement’s number 51 car.
John Hunter Nemechek brings the field down for the green flag restart on the outside lane on lap 65. Riley Herbst gets into the wall with a flat tire after Parker Kligerman had a slow start and Herbst hit Kligerman in the rear. The track stays green.
Lap 67, John Hunter Nemechek leads the race with Justin Allgaier in second; Sammy Smith, Brandon Jones, and Josh Berry round out the top five.
Riley Herbst is now two laps down.
Cole Custer is out of the race.
There ae 29 cars on the lead lap.
Lap 72, John Hunter Nemechek has a third of a second lead on Justin Allgaier; Sammy Smith, Brandon Jones, and Josh Berry round out the top five.
The caution flag comes out on lap 75 when Brandon Jones does some agricultural racing after getting loose. There doesn’t appear to be any damage to the splitter of Jones’ car.

The caution flag comes out when teammates Justin Allgaier and Brandon Jones are involved in a wreck; Sammy Smith was also involved and is stopped on the track against the wall. Contact from Sheldon Creed on Sammy Smith started the melee.

With 83 laps remaining in the race, Riley Herbst has closed the points gap to Parker Kligerman to just 14 points.

Lap 122, John Hunter Nemechek has pulled out to a lead of over two and a half seconds on Josh Berry; Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, and Parker Kligerman round out the top five.
Lap 129, Riley Herbst comes down pit road when the repaired fender came loose. He now laps down once again and the point difference is 30 points behind Parker Kligerman.
John Hunter Nemechek is driving away from the field with a lead of six seconds on Josh Berry; Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, and Parker Kligerman round out the top five.
Lap 136, John Hunter Nemechek continues to increase his lead and is now over seven seconds out in front of Josh Berry.
The ninth caution flag of the race comes out when Rajah Caruth he spins out and makes a run through the grass after some contact from Matt Mills. Caruth kept the car off of the wall.
Already two laps down, Riley Herbst is back on pit road for some repairs.
With 60 laps remaining in the race the drivers are at the edge of their fuel window. Drivers come down pit road for service and adjustments. John Hunter Nemechek wins the race off of pit road with Josh Berry out second.
Ryan Sieg is stopped on the track and gets a push from the safety workers to get off the track.
