What happens when you combine a top 50 guitar player, an Austrian nylon strings player, and a Cuban born guitarist???
A trio of guitar virtuosos better known as The String Revolution who don’t limit their playing to the six strings on their guitars.
Tapping into some musical history; Janet Robin, Markus Illko, and Rober Luis have joined forces with Tommy Emanuel, John Carter Cash, and a couple of Johnny Cash’s guitars for a new rendition of the hit song “Folsom Prison Blues”.
Cash’s son John Carter produced the song that was recorded at Cash’s own recording studio -Cash Cabin. Two of Cash’s own guitars – a 1930’s Martin and a 1955 Fender Esquire – were used in recording the song.
John Carter Cash spoke on the recording saying, “Attention: This is not my daddys’ ‘Folsom Prison Blues’. My excitement over this unique instrumental arrangement has been unsurpassed in my life up to this point. I am honored to be a part of this wondrous historic recording.”
