Again this week all three racing series ran an event but the Xfinity Series had a stand alone event when they went road course racing at Road America; while the Truck and Cup Series went short track racing on the oval at Richmond Raceway.
The Craftsman Truck Series ran its final race of the regular season and crowned Corey Heim the champion. With just seven races remaining in their season, the Truck Series has set the 10 driver field for the playoffs.
With just four more races remaining in the regular season for the Cup Series, there are now 12 drivers who have secured themselves a spot in the playoffs with at least one win after RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher added his name to the winner’s list at the end of the Cook Out 400 in Richmond.
With seven stage wins this season, William Byron tops the list for stage points with 206. Byron also has four race wins this season.
