It is not uncommon to see sports teams offering fan appreciation days to give thanks to their fans. Musician Robert Earl Keen is offering fans a Fan Appreciation Day of his own. The event returns again this Labor Day, to celebrate the music and his fans.
A big hit last year, Keen is offering free event tickets via a lottery. Two thousand tickets will be handed out online at liveatfloores.com.
Keen promises a good time with plenty of music including his band ending out the night…whenever that is.
With no worries about a curfew, Keen, his band, and all his “rowdy” musician friends are sure to keep Floore’s Country Store in Helotes, Texas hopping on September 4. He describes the event as “a laid-back party with great food, cold beer, and a bunch of fellow artists.”
Speaking on the party Keen said, “I love my fans and I want to be proactive in showing my appreciation for them which is why I came up with Fan Appreciation Day. I want to return the love.”
Mark McKinney of Floore’s Country Store added, “we are extremely excited to be hosting Robert Earl Keen’s Fan Appreciation Day party again this year.”
Keen’s latest album “Western Chill” is not available for digital download but fans can go to his website and buy one of the boxed sets that includes a double album, a DVD with all 14 songs from the album, a graphic novel on making the album, and a songbook for the musically inclined fan. Copies of the release will also be available at the party. The rumour mill is always filled with all sorts of tid-bits; and one such tid-bit is that Keen might even sit down to autograph a few of them.
