In its Tuesday penalty report, NASCAR suspended Jackman Adam  Lewis and tire changer Scott Brzozowski for the next two races after a wheel on the number 34 Front Row Motorsports car driven by Michael McDowell came off on the track on lap 344.

While there were no speeding penalties during the Coca Cola 600; a number of teams were charged with equipment interference penalties, several of which involved rolling tires.

In the Xfinity Series race that ran both before and after the Cup Series race, Joe Gibbs Racing crew chief Jeff Meendering has been fined $5,000 after NASCAR officials found an improperly secured lug nut on the number 18 car driven by Sammy Smith.

Also in the Xfinity Series, the CHK Racing number 74 driven by Dawson Cram has been docked 10 owner and 10 driver points for violating the NASCAR rule book in relation to quarter window and NASCAR-mandated NACA duct and outlet hose that must be used at all ovals 1.33 miles and longer.

In the Craftsman Truck Series GMS Racing truck chief Derek Hartnagel has been suspended indefinitely for violation of NASCAR’s substance abuse policy.  Daniel Dye drives the GMS Racing number 43 truck.
