It’s a celebration 25 years in the making, independent rockers Umphrey’s McGee is releasing a Rockumentary about their 25 year musical journey on June 11.  “Frame x Frame” will debut live at the Music BoxTheatre in Chicago and be broadcast live via nugs.net.  After the premiere; the band members, director, and producer will be available for a question and answer session.  Band members Brendan Bayliss and Andy Farag, director  Pete Herzog, and producer Kevin Browning are all scheduled to attend the premiere and Q and A.

Over the past 25 years band members have shared the stage over 2,600 times.  And they have no plans to stop anytime soon.

With the help of their extensive archives, Umphrey’s McGee shows that the music is the only serious thing in the room.

Back in 2011, long before the band ever came close to reaching the 25 year anniversary, director Pete Herzog had a dream of making such a documentary and worked over years to make it come true.

Tickets for the event go on sale beginning May 24. The first 500 orders will be $19.99 and ticket holders will have their names included in the film credits.  After the first 500 tickets the price will be $24.99. Tickets will also be $24.99 for fans who attend the premiere live at the Music Box.

The band will continue their musical journey on the road beginning this weekend at the Summer Camp Musical Festival and will continue touring around North America including appearances at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Bonnaroo Music Festival.
