Texas artists Sunny Sweeney and Jamie Lin Wilson put their own interpretation on the Emmylou Harris song “Red Dirt Girl”.
The duo were in Switzerland when they discovered their mutual love for Emmylou Harris…especially “Red Dirt Girl”. Not only did Harris give her permission for the duo to record the song, she offered to sing the harmonies. The recording has finally been released.
Country music fans can view a few of Sunny Sweeney’s personal items in the American Currents exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.
Sweeney has just started a tour that will run mostly in Texas but also has stops in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Montana.
