On a beautiful Friday afternoon, the Xfinity Series takes to the track for a practice session and qualifying for the Alsco Uniforms 300.
Forty teams brought cars to Las Vegas for 38 starting spots at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
With a very busy weekend, Kyle Busch comes from putting his truck on the pole to hop into the number 10 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing.
JR Motorsports driver Josh Berry is in a backup car and no matter how well he qualifies will have to start the race from the back of the field. Cole Custer, Gray Gaulding, Brandon Jones, and Kyle Busch are also driving a backup car.
CJ McLaughlin gets loose during practice and spins out; bringing out the red flag after he hits the outside wall and has to be towed back to the garage.
Sore knee and all, Daniel Hemric leads the field after a 20 minute practice session.
Ryan Vargas is the first driver on the track to make a qualifying run and posts a time of 31.326 seconds around the mile and a half track.
Kyle Weatherman is taking over the driving duties for David Starr this weekend.
With a time of 29.989 seconds, Sheldon Creed is the first driver to break the 30 second mark around the track.
With a time of 29.489 seconds, Chandler Smith sits on the pole and will brings the field to green with JRM driver Justin Allgaier five thousandths of a second behind will start on the front row. This weekend in Las Vegas, Allgaier and his wife will celebrate their seventeenth wedding anniversary.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track. The drivers can run about 60 laps on a single load of fuel.
Several drivers will have to start the race from the back of the field with Patrick Emerling after a driver change; Brennan Poole, Ryan Ellis, Parker Kligerman, and Garrett Smithley after their crews made some unapproved adjustments to the cars; and as previously announced Sheldon Creed, Josh Berry, Brandon Jones, Kyle Busch, Cole Custer, and Gray Gaulding in backup cars after on track crashes at Auto Club Speedway last week.
On a windy Saturday afternoon, Chandler Smith brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane with Justin Allgaier on the inside. Driver quickly get spread out three and four wide across the track with Chandler Smith getting out in front for the lead.

Parker Kligerman brings out the first caution flag of the race when he spins out on lap three after some contact from John Hunter Nemechek.
Only three laps into the race and Kyle Busch is already just outside the top 20 in 22nd place after moving up eleven places.
Chandler Smith brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane with Justin Allgaier alongside on lap seven. Justin Allgaier and Chandler Smith battle for the lead with Smith taking the spot.
Lap eight, the top five are Chandler Smith, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill John Hunter Nemechek, and Bret Moffitt.
Lap nine, Kyle Busch has entered the top 20 in 19th place.
Lap 10 Chandler Smith has a narrow lead on Justin Allgaier; John Hunter Nemechek, Austin Hill, and Daniel Hemric round out the top five.
Lap 12, Chandler Smith holds on to the lead with Justin Allgaier two tenths of a second back. Kyle Smith is in 16th place.
Lap 13, Justin Allgaier passes Chandler Smith for the lead; with the help of some side drafting.
Lap 15, Kyle Busch has moved up to 12th.
Lap 17 Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a half second lead on Chandler Smith. Smith has some debris on his grille.
Lap 18, Kyle Busch is just outside the top 10 in eleventh.
Lap 19, the top five are Justin Allgaier, John Hunter Nemechek, Chandler Smith, Austin Hill, and Daniel Hemric. Even after pulling up behind Nemechek, Chandler Smith still has some debris on his grille.
Lap 21, Kyle Busch has entered the top 10.
Lap 22, John Hunter Nemechek passes Justin Allgaier for the lead with Kyle Busch in tenth, over seven seconds back.
Lap 25, three of the four JR Motorsports cars are in the top 10 with the fourth – Brandon Jones – in 16th after starting at the back of the field.
Lap 30, John Hunter Nemechek has a third of a second lead on Justin Allgaier; Austin Hill, Daniel Hemric, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.
Since restarting the race at the back of the field after spinning out, Parker Kligerman has moved up to 15th.
Cole Custer reports that he is “ungodly free”.

Chandler Smith brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 79 and battles with Justin Allgaier for the lead. Justin Allgaier takes the lead.
Lap 80 the top five are Justin Allgaier, Chandler Smith Austin HIll, Kyle Busch, and Brandon Jones.
NASCAR has charged Justin Allgaier with a restart violation. He will have to serve a passthrough penalty. Chandler Smith retakes the lead.
Lap 83, the top five are Chandler Smith, Austin Hill, Kyle Busch, Brandon Jones, and Sammy Smith.
Lap 86, Austin Hill passes Chandler Smith for the lead; Brandon Jones passes Chandler Smith for third.

Chandler Smith thinks he has a tire going down and has fallen for fifth place.
The caution flag comes out on lap 89 when Rajah Caruth gets loose and spins out. He kept the car off the wall but goes sliding down the track.

Lap 125, Chandler Smith continues to lead the race but Kyle Busch has closed the gap to under a second; Austin Hill, Justin Allgaier, and Sam Mayer round out the top five.
Lap 130, Chandler Smith continues to lead the race and has increased his lead on Kyle Busch to over a second.

Lap 132, Justin Allgaier passes Kyle Busch for third.

Lap 135, Justin Allgaier passes Austin Hill for second and is 1.75 seconds behind leader Chandler Smith.
Kyle Busch is reporting a tight condition; saying he has “lost it” on both ends. Busch has fallen to fifth place.
With 61 laps to go, the window to make it to the end of the race on fuel is open and Kyle Busch is the first driver to make a green flag pit stop.
Lap 140, Chandler Smith comes down pit road for his green flag pit stop and gives the lead over to Justin Allgaier.
