Fifteen time International Bluegrass Music Association winner Rob Ickes and three time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year and guitar prodigy Trey Hensley have joined forces for a new album “Living in a Song”. The duo originally penned 30 classic Country sings with a bit of Americana and Bluegrass thrown in and pared it down to the 12 songs that appear on the album. Along with the original songs, the album includes a cover by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
The duo used the experience on the road as touring musicians as an inspiration for the album and on the heels of the album’s release, Ickes and Hensley have launched a tour. Trey Hensley noted that the album’s title track practically wrote itself.
