Winter has just begun and summer is still several months away, but putting on one of the biggest music festivals in the country takes time…

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival made the announcement on January 10 that rap star Kendrick Lamar will be returning to the annual music festival held on a farm in Tennessee.

Rockers the Foo Fighters and the electronic duo ODESZA will also headline the annual festival.  The Foo Fighters were scheduled to headline in 2021 when flooding caused the three day event to be cancelled.

Last year while on tour in South America, the Foo Fighters lost drummer Taylor Hawkins who died suddenly.  The tour was subsequently cancelled.  The Foo Fighters return in 2023 with a new tour.

Award winning rapper Kendrick Lamar was last at Bonnaroo in 2015 where he was also a headliner.

Clayton Knight and Harrison Mills better known as ODESZA are coming off of a four year hiatus to headline the Saturday night performances.

Tickets for the 2023 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival go on sale January 12 at 10am central time and will be held June 15 to 18 in Manchester, Tennessee – about 60 miles southeast of Nashville.  Tickets for the four day event begin at $320.

Other artists scheduled to appear are Paramore, Lil Nas X, Baby Keem, Tyler Childers, Vulfpeck, Marcus Mumford, My Morning Jacket, Three 6 Mafia, Korn, and the Pixies
