After several years of the same group of owners in NASCAR, the past couple of years has seen a significant growth in the number of team owners in all three racing series most notably Trackhouse Racing and 23XI.  NASCAR has hoped to draw more owners to the sport with the advent of the Next Gen car and have succeeded.

The German racing team 3F Racing (3 Friends Racing) has been running GT and Touring Car races for many years and is now looking to branch into NASCAR.  Team owner  Dennis HIrtz has acquired an owners license and will be fielding the number 30 Chevrolet.

Hirtz noted that he wanted to build a U.S. racing team with roots in Germany.  He adds that come Spring 2023, German will be spoken for the first time in the NASCAR racing paddock.

Hirtz said, “for us it is more than entering a new racing series, it’s making a childhood dream reality. And we will succeed with a very strong team, as friends, and with high-class drivers”

Hirtz is looking to make his NASCAR debut at the spring race at Atlanta Motor Speedway with a driver yet to be named.
