The World Folk band Rising Appalachia has released a new album – “Live from New Orleans at Preservation Hall”.  Band member Chloe Smith notes that she and her sister Leah lived in New Orleans for a number of years where they spent many an hour busking in the French Quarter and it holds a special place for them.

Available for digital download and streaming, 10 percent of the profits from streaming will go to the Preservation Hall Foundation to continue raising awareness for The Hall, New Orleans Jazz, and the supporting communities.

In 2021 when much of the country was still locked down under the Covid pandemic, Rising Appalachia performed a live concert that was streamed live for the entire world to hear.

The album can be streamed at: https://risingappalachia.lnk.to/PreservationHall and risingappalachia.com.

The Preservation Jazz Hall originally was a Creole townhouse in the 19th century that was transformed into a non-profit performance hall in 1961.
