Rush drummer Neal Peart, Eddie Van Halen, and Prince are no longer among us but thanks to Guitars and Musical Instruments Signature Auction by Heritage, fans can actually own a piece of those artists.
On November 13 Heritage will be holding an auction featuring a number of vintage and rare musical instruments.
Heritage’s Director of Vintage Guitars & Musical Instruments Aaron Piscopo spoke on the upcoming auction saying, “this is a unique auction, and it stands out due to the variety of custom and vintage guitars that shaped the music we grew up on. We have an especially rich selection of guitars from Gibson’s custom shop in Tennessee, from vintage to extremely rare limited editions overseen by our guitar heroes. There’s tremendous history here.”
Included in the auction are guitars from Gibson Guitars’ David Winters, the Black Beauty played by Jimmy Page, the 1959 Les Paul Don Felder played on “Hotel California”, the Beano Les Paul Sunburst played by Eric Clapton, the Les Paul Oxblood played by Jeff Beck, “The Babe” – Les Paul Sunburst, the 1959 Reissue Les Paul Golden Cherry Burst, the Jimmy Page Fender Masterbuilt “Dragon and Mirrored” Telecaster set, a number of guitars signed by Eddie Van Halen, a 1959 Gibson ES-335 Sunburst, a 1963 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst, Prince’s Yellow Cloud guitar, and the Ludwig 5-piece – a kick drum, snare, two toms and a floor tom and custom Zildjian cymbals – drumkit played by Neal Peart on the “Burning for Buddy” album.
