Most artists celebrate a major anniversary with a new album release or a special concert. The boys in Aerosmith have planned a big extravaganza that includes raiding the Aerosmith vault.
“50 Years Live!” will feature rare and previously unreleased archival footage of the band through the year.
The party begins on July 29th with the premiere of concert footage from every decade. This is previously unreleased footage and will be available on the official Aerosmith band page and their YouTube Channel.
The first concert on the roster is the 1977 show in Houston, Texas. The five “official bootleg” concerts planned all feature multiple camera angles so the fans can see Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford in all their glory. The video used for the anniversary concert are the same footage fans saw on the big video screens during the show.
The Houston performance was taken from multiple night concerts and will premiere at 12 noon Pacific time (3pm in the east) on July 29. The show is available for just one week then a new show will take its place.
