While the Xfinity and Cup Series drivers have a rare weekend off, the Camping World Truck Series travels to Knoxville, Iowa for some Saturday night dirt track racing for the Clean Harbors 150 in a stand alone event.

Dirt track racing is like no other racing format…

The night begins with four heat races to set the field and starting grid for the race.

Each heat will be 15 laps in length with only the green flag laps counting.  There will be no overtime rules the heat races.

The starting lineup for the heat races will be determined by a random draw

Thirty-eight teams have brought trucks to Knoxville to fill 36 spots

Not only will the drivers earn points for their finishing position; they will also earn a point for each truck they pass

During a pit stop during the race, crews cannot fill the truck with fuel or change any tires except during the stage breaks and all of the drivers must pit during at lest one of the stage breaks.

Pit stops are “non-competitive” which means there  will be no racing off of pit road for position and all crews have three minutes to complete pit stops.  Drivers will maintain their on track position.

Nineteen year old Carson Hocevar is not letting a broken ankle slow him down; after putting his number 42 truck on the pole last week at Sonoma, he tops Truck Series practice.  There is no backup driver for Hocevar this week.
