Sonoma Raceway brought NASCAR its twelfth different winner this season when Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suarez earned his first Cup Series win. Only 10 races remain in the 2022 regular Cup Series season.
In the Stage Point standings, Chase Elliott continues to lead with 136 points and three stage wins; William Byron, Ross Chastain, and Martin Truex Jr also have three stage wins. Ryan Blaney continues to lead in the stage wins with four. Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick, Denny Hamlin, Daniel Suarez, and Kurt Busch each have two stage wins; while Kyle Busch, Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman, Austin Cindric, and Bubba Wallace each have a single stage win.
In the Point Standings, Chase Elliott continues to lead with 536 points. Only four of the 12 drivers who have won races this season have earned more than one win; Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and William Byron each have two wins. Even with two race wins, Denny Hamlin is still outside the top 20 in points in 21st place, but his two wins puts him near the top of the playoff standings.

In the Camping World Truck Series, Kyle Busch won his 62nd Truck Series race in his fifth and final truck race this season. With Busch’s winning the race, Ben Rhodes holds on to the points lead with 444 points. Ben Rhodes, Chandler Smith, Zane Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, and Stewart Friesen are the only Truck Series regulars who have won races this season. Zane Smith leads the way with three race wins.
