On the final lap of the Camping World Truck Series Toyota 200 race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway on June 4, Carson Hocevar, Derek Kraus, Tyler Hill, and Lawless Alan were all involved in a crash that sent Hocevar into the wall hard. While Hocevar exited his truck unaided, he had radioed for help and was taken to the ambulance on a stretcher. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was being taken to the ambulance.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was being treated for an injury to his right ankle.
The last lap incident was not first on track incident involving the 19 year of Hocevar; earlier in stage three, Hocevar and Matt Crafton made contact and sending Hocevar’s truck spinning.
Hocevar finished the race in 24th place.
