Less than a month before the death of Naomi Judd, The Judds had announced a farewell tour. Their final performance was a reunion after 20 years at the CMT Awards.
On May 19 it was announced that daughter Wynonna would go on tour with the help of several of Nashville’s female stars – Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Brandi Carlile, Little Big Town, Martina McBride and Ashley McBryde.
In a statement Judd said, “I am humbled, once again, by the loyalty of the fans who have been with us for 38+ years, who continue to show up for me when I need them the most.”
Over the course of their career, The Judds have earned 14 number one songs including the song from their final performance “Love Can Build a Bridge”. Other hits include “Mama He’s Crazy”, “Why Not Me”, “Turn it Loose”, “Girls Night Out”, “Rockin’ with the Rhythm of the Rain”, and “Grandpa”.
