NASCAR has issued just one penalty this week…

During the Geico 500 on April 24, BJ McLeod lost a wheel on lap 87 of the race at Talladega Superspeedway.  The infraction occurred shortly after McLeod had made a pit stop.

As a result of the lost tire, the Live Fast number 78 car was charged with violating the NASCAR rule book.  Crew chief Lee Leslie, jackman Alpha Lamin, and rear tire changer Kevin Teaf have all been suspended for the next four Cup Series races.

Engineer Christopher Stanley will serve as the number 78 crew chief in Leslie’s absence.
