After a two month delay, the 64th annual Grammy Awards returns with a new awards show and in a new city when the Recording Academy moves to Las Vegas for music’s biggest night.

Trevor Noah returns to host the show from the MGM Grand.

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Pak as Silk Sonic get the night of music started off with a performance.

Seven time Grammy Award nominee Olivia Rodrigo takes the stage to perform her hit song “Driver’s License”.

Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner J Balvin takes the stage for a performance with Maria Becerra.

Six time Grammy Award winner Questlove presents the first award of the night for Song of the Year to Brandon Anderson, Christopher Brody Brown, Dernst Emile II and  Bruno Mars for “Leave the Door Open” performed by Silk Sonic.

Grammy nominated K-Pop stars BTS take the stage for a performance of “Butter” that includes coming down from the ceiling and, of course, dancing.

From the rooftop of the MGM Grand Aymée Nuviola took the broadcast into a break with a performance.

Lil Nas X takes the stage to perform with Jack Harlow.

The award for Best Country Album went to Chris Stapleton for “Starting Over”.

The Grammys salute the people who help to put the artists on stage.  Some of them introduce some of their artists.

Billie Eilish takes the stage to perform standing in a pool of water before joining brother Finneas.

Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion present the award for New Artist of the Year to Olivia Rodrigo.

Bonnie Raitt and the MusiCares Person of the Year Joni Mitchell introduce Brandi Carlile who gives a performance at the piano and on the guitar.

The award for Best Rap Performance went to Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar for “Family Ties”.

Chris Stapleton gives a performance of “Why You Got to Be so Cold”.

John Legend leads an international cast of artists to pay tribute to the people of the Ukraine.

Music legend Tony Bennett introduced Lady Gaga who performed the award winning song she did with Bennett, “Love for Sale” and “Do I Love You?”.

Donned in hot pink Grammy, Tony, and Emmy award winner Billy Porter presented the award for Best R&B Album to Jazmine Sullivan for “Heaux Tales”.

Bluegrass artist Billy Strings played up on the rooftop as the Grammys went to a break.

Jared Leto presents the award for Best Pop Vocal Album to Olivia Rodrigo for her album “Sour”.  She dedicated her award to her parents.

Trevor Noah spoke on Taylor Hawkins…and all the artists who have passed on over the past year.  The Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards but after the death of Hawkins, they have cancelled all of their performances including their Grammy appearance.  Broadway stars performed songs from Broadway musical as the In Memorium segment ran including Ben Platt, Leslie Odem Jr, Cynthia Erivo, and Rachel Zegler.

Leading the way for Grammy nominations this year with eleven, Jon Batiste takes the stage for a performance that include playing the piano, singing, and dancing. 

Eight time Grammy Award nominee Justin Bieber takes the stage with Daniel Caesar and Giveon for a performance of “Peaches”.  Host Trevor Noah noted that before Covid there was Bieber Fever and that virus was a lot more fun.

Avril Lavigne presents the award for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance to Doja Cat and SZA for “Kiss Me More”.  SZA came to the stage on crutches.  Doja became very emotional at the microphone.

H.E.R. takes the stage with Lenny Kravitz, Travis Barker, and friends as she explores her musical influences.  Along the way H.E.R. plays the drums, the guitar, and sings.

Four time Grammy Award winner Keith Urban presents the award for Record of the Year to Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) for “Leave the Door Open”. 

Steven Cox is the Recording Academy’s Music Educator of the Year Award winner.

Recording Academy president Harvey Mason spoke on why they have the Grammys…because music serves the world!

Eight time Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood debuts her new song “Ghost Story”.

Four time Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz noted, “let love rule” and presented the award for Album of the Year to Jon Batiste for “We Are”.  Batiste said there is no best, it finds each person when they need it the most.

Winning their first ever Grammy Award, Country music duo Brother Osborne close out the night with a performance.
