:The City Center Dance Festival returns after a two year absence beginning March 24 and running through April 10.

Four different dance companies will be participating in the dance fest.

The four New York companies will feature dance styles form classic to innovative choreography. The Paul Taylor Dance Company, Martha Graham Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Ballet Hispanico are all scheduled to be a part of this inaugural spring dance festival.

The Dance Theatre of Harlem celebrated 50 years of dance in 2020 but the global pandemic has caused a two year delay in the celeb rations. Among their performances will be “Balamouk” with live music by The Klezmatics.

Appearance on the City Center stage marks a return for the Paul Tayor Company after an eleven year absence. Michael Novak has taken over running the company since Paul Taylor’s death in 2018.

“So You Think You Can Dance” fans who enjoyed the choreography of Sonya Tayeh, will be glad to hear that the Tony Award winning choreographer’s work will also be performed during the festival.

Ballet Hispanico’s program includes a new take on the Eva Peron story with “Dona Peron” by freelance choreographer Ochoa.
