The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles is paying tribute to Motown legend Mary Wilson, who died last year. The event will run on March 4 from 7 to 9pm at the Grammy Museum Live in Los Angeles.

Daughter Turkessa Babich will tell stories and original Miracles member Claudette Robinson will be on hand as a part of the tribute. Michelle Chapman, Rita Coolidge, the Four Tops, Linda Green, Tamron Hall, Barbara Hawkins, Bubba Knight, the Pointer Sisters, the Temptations, and Dionne Warwick will be among those sending tributes via video.

While Diana Ross is the best known member of The Supremes, it is Mary Wilson who founded the group. More than a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; Wilson was a fashion icon, actor, motivational speaker, and cultural ambassador. It was Mary Wilson who was in integral part of getting the Music Modernization Act passed – a law that updates copyright issues in regards to audio recordings in the digital age.

Fans who are unable to attend the tribute, may watch the festivities on on March 6, 2022 at 3pm – Wilson’s birthday.

UMe is releasing “The Motown Anthology” to help celebrate the life and career of Wilson. The Anthology is a comprehensive two CD collection of music from The Primettes, aand Mary Wilson’s solo career. It will be available on March 4 and at the Tribute event at the Grammy Museum; as well as, Wilson’s book “Supreme Glamour”.
