After the races at Datona International Speedway this past weekend, the first points standings of the season have been released.

In the Cup Series, Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric has secured himself a spot in the first round of the playoffs and is at the top of the points standings with 54 points; ties with team mate Brad Keselowski. After sweeping stages one and two, Martin Truex Jr comes in third with 49 points.

According to the playoff standings, all of the 16 playoff drivers have received 2,000 points and were then awarded playoff points according to who they finished in the stages and at the end of the race. Austin Cindric also tops the playoff standings with 2,021 points. Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr follow with 2,010 points.


In the Xfinity Series, Austin Hill won the race, but it is AJ Allmendinger who sits atop the points standings with 51 points.

Camping World Truck Series driver Zane Smith won the truck race on Friday night in an overtime event with 46 points.
