The discussion over who is the greatest of all time in any area is always sure to garner some very lively conversation that often borders on an aggressive discussion. But when it comes to Bluegrass music, guitarist Tony Rice is at the top of the list.
The International Bluegrass Music Hall of Famer died last Christmas in his Reidsville, North Carolina home at the age of 69.
Producr and Bluegrass musician Barry Waldrep has compiled a tribute album to Rice that features some of the biggest names across the world of music.
“Barry Waldrep and Friends Celebrate Tony Rice” features 21 songs to celebrate the legacy of Tony Rice.
Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Jim Lauderdale, Warren Haynes, Oteil Burbridge, Spooner Oldham, Patrick Simmons, Jimmy Hall, Darrell Scott, Marty Raybon, Mike Farris, Kim Richey, Radney Foster, Teresa Williams, Larry Campbell, John Berry, Patrick Simmons, John Paul White, Jacob Bunton, John Jorgenson, Rory Feek, Donna Hall, Kelli Johnson, Barry Waldrep, Tammy Rogers, Andrea Zonn, Aubrey Haynie, Bryan Hall, Caelan Berry, James “Hutch” Hutchinson, Jason Bailey, Bryn Davies, Scott Vestal, Benji Shanks, Dillon Hodges, Heidi Feek, and John Cowan have all lent their talents to the album.
