The 2021 racing season is over and the 2022 season will not begin for another three months; however, NASCAR officials never take time off.

Xfinity Series owner and driver of the number 74 car Mike Harmon was penalized for violating the rule book relating to testing.  Harmon will begin the 2022 racing season with negative 75 owner and 75 driver points.  The number 74 crew chief Ryan Bell has also been fined $50,000 and has been suspended for the first six point races of the 2022 season.

Video of Harmon running testing laps at Rockingham Speedway appeared online.

Xfinity Series driver Caesar Bacarella has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NASCAR rule book’s substance abuse policy.  He will have to go through the program before he can return to the track.

Bacarella ran only five races in the 2021 season driving the number 90 car.
