Kansas Speedway was rough on playoff drivers in both the Xfinity and Cup Series over the weekend.  In the Xfinity Series six of the eight playoff drivers had trouble on the track and for the second week in a row, a non-playoff driver won the race  AJ Allmendinger and reigning Xfinity Series champion Austin Cindric are tied for the lead with no drivers having clinched a spot in the final four.

In the Cup Series on Sunday, Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex Jr, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Kyle Busch all had issues on the track. 

With his win at Texas Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson had secured his spot in the final four; but with his win at Kansas, Larson has extended his lead in the playoff standings with 4,181 points.

The upcoming race at Martinsville is the final cut off race for all three racing series where the final four will be named to compete for the championship next month at Phoenix Speedway.
