It’s week two in the round of eight as the Xfinity Series gets a doulbleheader weekend started at Kansas Speedway with the Kansas Lottery 300.
While AJ Allmendinger has a narrow lead in the playoffs, none of the playoff drivers have secured a spot in the final four after Camping World Truck Series regular John Hunter Nemechek took the checkered flag last week at Texas Motor Speedway.
After finished second for the tenth time last week, Daniel Hemric sits on the pole and will bring the field to green with Austin Cindric starting alongside on the front row. Hemric is currently two points below the cut line.
Points leader AJ Allmendinger starts the race on row three in fifth place.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track.
Drivers can run around 60 laps on a single load of fuel.
NASCAR has called for a competiton caution around lap 20.
The teams were given just four sets of tires for today’s race.

Lap eight, Austin Cindric gets in a battle for the lead for but Hemric holds him off.
Lap nine, Austin Cindrc continues to challenge Daniel Hemric for the lead.
Lap 10, Austin Cindric takes the lead on a pass from the outside.

Lap 17, Austin Cindric has pulled out to a lead of over three seconds on Daniel Hemric; AH Allmendinger, Justin Allgaier, and Noah Gragson round out the top five.
There are 36 cars on the lead laps with Gray Gaulding off the track and Joey Gase out of the race.
NASCAR puts out the yellow flag for the competition caution on lap 21.
Many of the drivers are reporting a loose condition in their cars.
Pit road was open but all of the lead lap drivers stayed out on the track.

David Starr is off the track with 35 cars on the lead lap.
The caution flag comes out on lap 29 when Jade Buford gets into a big crash and causes significant damage to his car. Buford climbs out of his car unaided. Dylan Lupton makes contact with Buford before hitting the wall hard and getting airborne. Dylan Lupton reports that the car gets away from him.
Austin Cindric brings the field down for the gren flag restart from the inside lane on lap 38 – there are just eight laps remaining in stage one. Drivers get three wide across the track. AJ Allmendinger takes the lead briefly before Daniel Hemric gets out in front for the lead.
Lap 39, AJ Allmendinger retakes the lead with Daniel Hemric in second; Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, and Ty Gibbs round out the top five.

Harrison Burton is the only playoff driver who did not earn any stage points after coming in in eleventh place.
Drivers come down pit road for service with Austin Cindric winning the race off of pit road. Ty Gibbs comes out second. AJ Allmendinger lost seven spots on pit road after some lug nuts fell off and had to be replaced; causing a 17 second pit stop.

Justin Allgaier also had a slow pit stop after one of the crew members fell down.

All of the drivers still on the track are on the lead lap. Jade Buford and Joey Gase are out of the race with David Starr and Gray Gaulding off the track.
Lap 57, Austin Cindric has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second on Ty Gibbs,, Noah Gragsn, Daniel Hemric, and AH Allmendinger round out the top five. Allmendinger is nearly three seconds behind the leader.
When the crew members removed tires during pit stops, some of the drivers’ had tires showing some cording.
Lap 62, Austin Cindric has increased his lead to over a second on Ty Gibbs; third place driver Noah Gragson is over two seconds back; Daniel Hemric and AJ Allmendinger round out the top five.
AJ Allmendinger is reporting that he has no side bite in his car.
Lap 71, Austin Cindric continues to lead the race by less than half a second on Ty Gibbs in second; Noah Gragson, Daniel Hemric, and Myatt Snider round out the top five.
Lap 74, leaders encounter slower traffic spread out across the track.
Lap 76, Austin Cindric weaves his way through slower traffic with Ty Gibbs a half a second back. There are 25 cars on the lead lap.
David Starr returns to the track 41 laps down.
Lap 79, the top five are Austin Cindric, Ty Gibbs, Noah Gragson, Daniel Hemric, and Myatt Snider.
Lap 80, Daniel Hemric gets around Noah Gragson to take third.
Lap 84, Austin Cindric leads the race but Ty Gibbs is challenging for the lead. There are only 18 cars on the lead lap.
With five laps remaining in stage two, Austin Cindric has a narrow lead on Ty Gibbs; Daniel Hemric, Noah Gragson, and Myatt Snider round out the top five.
After holding off Ty Gibbs, Austin Cindric wins his eleventh stage win of the season.

This time around, Brandon Jones was the only playoff driver not to win any stage points.
Drivers come down pit road for service with Ty Gibbs winning the race off of pit road.
Ty Gibbs was charged with speeding on pit road. He will have to restart the race from the back of the field.
During his pit stop, Brandon Jones’ team removed three pakcers to get the splitter down.
Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three with Myatt Snider alongside on lap 97 with Cindric taking the lead.
On the backstretch Noah Gragson and Daniel Hemric make contact and bring out the caution flag. Gragson makes contact with the rear of Hemric’s car when Hemric gets slowed on the track. Both drivers keep their cars off the wall but have damage to their cars…and send the field scattering.
At the time of the caution Austin Cindric was leading the race.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 103 with Harrison Burton alongside. Cindric gets out in front for the lead with Myatt Snider and Harrison Burton battling for second.
Lap 104,, the top five are Austin Cindric, Myatt Snider, Harrison Burton, Justin Allgaier, and AJ Allmendinger.
Joe Graf Jr brings out the sixth caution on lap 104 when he spins out but keeps it off the wall.

Lap 110, Myatt Snider scrapes the wall bu the track stays green. Snider falls to sixth place.
Lap 111, the top five are Austin Cidric, Harrison Burton, AJ Allmendinger, Justin Allgaier, and Ty Gibbs.
Lap 116, Austin Cindric has a one second lead on Harrison Burton; Ty Gibbs, Justin Allgaier, and Noah Gragson round out the top five. There are 19 cars on the lead lap.
Lap 118, Noah Gragson passes Justin Allgaier for fourth.
Lap 123, Riley Herbst has to bring his car down pit road for an unscheduled stop after he gets into the wall.
Lap 130, Aus Cindric has a narrow lead on Harrison Burton; Ty Gibbs, Noah Gragson, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.
Lap 135, Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton battle for the lead but Cindric holds on to the lead.
Mason Masey brings out the seventh caution flag of the race on lap 136 after he gets into the wall with a flat tire.
Drivers come down pit road for service but the drivers are just outside of their pit window to make it to the end of the race on fuel. Austin Cindric wins the race off of pit road.

Lap 148, Austin Cindric has increased his lead on Ty Gibbs to over half a second; Justin Allgaier, Harrison Burton, and Noah Gragson round ut the top five.

Fifty laps remain in the race, Austin Cindric has a one second lead on Ty Gibbs.
AJ Allmendinger reports that he is very tight. AJ is currently 30 points above the cut line behind leader Austin Cindric. He is running in seventh place.
Lap 157, Joe Graf Jr brings out the caution flag after he loses a tire and throw debris on the track.
Leaders come down pit road for their last set of fresh tires and top off the fuel. Noah Gragson and Daniel Hemric do not have any fresh tires. After taking fuel only, Brandon Jones wins the race off of pit road.
Justin Allgaier again has a bad stop after another crew member falls down.
After staying out on the track, Noah Gragson and AJ Allmendinger brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 159. Noah Gragson gets out in front for the lead but Brandon Jones spins out from the middle of the pack. He avoids any major contact and the wall.
Brandon Jones is the fifth playoff driver to have an issue on the track today.

Noah Gragson brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane with AJ Allmendinger on the inside on lap 164. After a push from Daniel Hemric, Noah Gragson takes the lead.

Lap 165, after a three wide battle, Austin Cindric takes second and sets his sights on leader Noah Gragson.
Lap 166, Austin Cindric passes Noah Gragson for the lead.

There are 23 cars on the lead lap with four drivers out of the race.
Lap 170, Austin Cindric has a one second lead on Noah Gragson; Sam Mayer, Harrison Burton, and Ty Gibbs round out the top five.
Sam Mayer passes Noah Gragson for second…but the two continue to battle for the position.
Lap 175, Austin Cindric has a lead of nearly two seconds wile Noah Gragson, Sam Mayer, and Harrison Burton battle for second.
Lap 176, the top five are Austin Cindric, Ty Gibbs, Harrison Burton, Noah Gragson, and Sam Mayer.
The tenth caution flag of the race comes out for a big crash involving Harrison Burton, Noah Gragson, and Sam Mayer. Mayer makes contact with Burton and sends him into Noah Gragson and the wall. Noah Gragson and Harrison Burton have some heavy damage to their cars. The rear of Burton’s car came off the ground when he hit the wall.
Drivers come down pit road for service. The drivers who have one last set of tires put them on the cars; while others put on less used scuffs.
Austin Cindric and Justin Haley are the only playoff drivers who have not had a major issue in today’s race.

Lap 187, on fresh tires AJ Allmendinger passes Sam Mayer for third.
Lap 188, Austin Cindric is in the lead but Ty Gibbs is coming on strong.
Lap 190, Ty Gibbs passes Austin Cindric for the lead and begins to pull away.
Ten to go, Ty Gibbs leads the race with Austin Cindric in second; AJ Allmendinger, Brett Moffitt, and Sam Mayer round out the top five.
Lap 194, Ty Gibbs has a lead of nearly a second on Austin Cindric; AJ Allmendinger, Justin Haley, and Brett Moffitt round out the top five.
Three lap remain in the race, Ty Gibbs has a one second lead on Austin Cindric; AJ Allmendinger, Justin Haley, and Ryan Sieg round out the top five.

For the fourth time in the 2021 racing season,19 year old Ty Gibbs wins the race. This is the second week in a row that the Joe Gibbs Racing number 54 car has won the race. This is the eleventh race of the 2021 season that the number 54 car has been the race winner. Gibbs becomes the youngest driver in the Xfinity Series to win four races.
With Ty Gibbs win, at least three of the final four playoff spots will be determined by points. And no drivers are locked into the final four as of yet.
