It’s Disney Week on “Dancing with the Stars” and the show is celebrating iwth a two night heroes and villains event.

On Monday’s episode the couples will take on some of Disney’s most lovable heroes.

Off the quarantine list and cleared to dance, Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke have returned to the Ballroom and are ready to dance.

Last week, Mickey Mouse challenged the dancers to include some special moves into their dances. The couple that has risen to the challenge, will receive two extra points from the judges.

JoJo and Jenna get the night of dancing started off with a Viennese Waltz to the music from Cinderella. This week JoJo will take on the male role including dressing as the male role. Len said the dance was done beautifully. Returning after his quarantine, Derek said that it was a breath of fresh air. Bruno called the couple a dream come true; adding that it was a Viennese Waltz for the 21st century. Carrie Ann noted that JoJo just showed that girls can do anything; adding that she was the frame to let Jenna shine. JoJo said that she was excited to be the prince in the dance. JoJo and Jenna scored 35 points for their dance…and the first nines of the season.

Melanie C and Gleb take on “Mary Poppins” with a Jazz routine. Melanie and Gleb had a video chat with Mel’s mom this week. Derek noted that Dick Van Dyke would have loved the dance. Bruno noted the difficulty of the dance. Carrie Ann noted that the dance was jammed packed but a little out of sync in the beginning. Len said that the dance was full of charm, fun, and enchanting. Mel and Gleb scored 31 points for their dance.

Matt and Lindsay Quickstep to the music of “The Incredibles”. Bruno noted that the dance is all about feet and Matt’s are getting better. Carrie Ann noted that Matt still needs to work on his technique. Len admired the tenacity and work ethic. Derek love the commitment. Matt and Lindsay scored 26 points for their dance.

Jimmie and Emma Paso Doble to the music of “Mulan”. Jimmie dedicated the dance to his dad who died in 2019 as a result of kidney failure. Carrie Ann loved the dance. Len liked the Mickey dance challenge; adding that it was in character. Derek is impressed with Jimmie’s texture; adding that it was his favourite Mickey challenge. Derek noted that Jimmie was singing during the dance. Bruno loved the dance. Jimmie and Emma scored 30 points for their dance.

Amanda and Alan Rumba to the music of “Tarzan”. Amanda’s son Elvis joined the couple in Disney this week. Len said that the dance was brilliant but missed the challenge. Derek said that the dance was well done; adding that he didn’t think they missed the challenge. Bruno thanked them for the eye candy; calling the Rumba effortless. Carrie Ann said that Alan looked 12 years old; adding that they seemed cautious. Amanda and Alan scored 32 points for their dance.

Olivia and Val Samba to the music of “The Lion King”. Derek said that he is not a cat person but she is becoming one of his favourite dancers on the show. Bruno called Olivia the spirit of a wild cat; adding that she is versatile. Carrie Ann loved everything about the dance. Len said zippidy doo dah…lots of zip and no doo dah. Olivia and Val scored 35 points for their dance.

The Miz and Witney dance a Quickstep to the music of Aladdin”. Bruno called The Miz the genie of the ballroom; adding that he appreciated that Mike really went for it. Carrie Ann noted that Mike is honing his energy on the dance. Len said that they had control; adding that Mike is light on his feet. Derek said that Mike was full out in his performance. The Miz and Witney scored 31 points for their dance.

Kenya and Brandon perform a Contemporary dance to the music of “Moana”. Carrie Ann said that there was a freedom in her movements but noted a couple of mishaps. Len said that the dance was beautiful; adding that it was a first class performance. Derek said that it started timid but then Kenya opened up. Bruno said that he felt it all; adding that it was lovely…until Brandon hit the rock. Kenya and Brandon scored 29 points for their dance.

Brian and Sharna Watlz to the music of “Snow White”. Len said that he never thought the Waltz was going to come; adding that he wanted a more traditional Watlz. Derek said that Brian has a great frame. Bruno noted that Sharna has her prince under control; adding that they needed more action. Carrie Ann noted that there was a lift. Brian and Sharna scored 25 points for their dance.

Suni and Sasha Salsa to music from the new Disney film “Encanto”. Derek said that he loves seeing Suni open up more each week. Bruno noted that Suni is expressing more each week; adding that it was delicious. Carrie Ann said there is something perfect about Suni’s moves. Len noted that it was the most expressive he has seen Suni. Suni and Sasha scored 33 points for their dance.

Melora and Artem Quickstep to the music of “The Jungle Book”. Melora’s husband join them at Disney. Bruno called Melora the queen of the jungle; adding that she is becoming the queen of the Ballroom. Bruno thought it was the best Quickstep this season. Carrie Ann said that they always bring something unexpected to every dance. Len said that it was by far their best dance so far; adding that Melora is a dancer. An excited Derek called it the best dance of the night. Melora and Artem scored 36 points for their dance..the highest score so far of the season.

Cody and Rigsby return to dance a Jive to the music from “A Goofy Movie”. Cody began the dance solo. Carrie Ann said that she loved the Mickey challenge. Len felt that there was too much side by side; adding that he was a bit disappointed. Derek said that Cody had such great energy. Bruno said that the Mickey challenge was great but agreed that there could have been more kicks and flicks. Cody and Cheryl scored 27 points for their dance.

Iman and Daniella close out the night of dancing with a Fox Trot to the music of “Frozen”. Iman reveals that he delivered both of his girls. Len said that Iman delivered a really elegant Fox Trot. Derek said that you can see Iman’s improvement. Bruno noted that Iman embraced his bigness. Carrie Ann said that you could see and feel the love in Iman’s dances. Iman and Daniella scored 30 points for his dance.

The judges chose to give the two bonus points for the best Mickey Dance Challenge to Jimmie and Emma.
