When it comes to breaking the rules of the NASCAR Rule Book, officials have a no tolerance policy. And on October 6, NASCAR suspended Camping World Truck Series crew chief Eddie Troconis indefinitely for violating the rules of conduct.
Troconis has been a crew chief in the CWTS for nine years and has chiefed 142 races with two wins.
NASCAR did not give the specifics on how Troconis broke the rules; they only said that it was not for a competition related or on track incident.
Troconis was the crew chief for the number zero two Young Motorsports truck driven by Kris Wright
According to the NASCAR Rule Book violations of the sport’s behavioural policy include, “physical confrontation with officials, media, fans, etc; confrontations that involve violence, abuse, or threats; manipulating or attemps to manipulate race outcomes; and intentionally wrecking a fellow driver.
